Yuva Pragati, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt, non-profit organization dedicated to Educating the impoverished rural Youth of Gujarat, India through its flagship Youth Wellness Camps (YWC) as well as through projects that promote education for these children. These projects encompass infrastructure, scholarships, education, health, hygiene and well-being, nutrition, and support for rural educational institutions.
Yuva Pragati’s network includes 150 to 200 volunteers and donors in the USA, along with its extended family of several institutional partners and their staff in India. Yuva Pragati’s work has improved the lives of 25,000+ children of ST (Scheduled Tribe, also known as Adivasi) and OBC (Other Backward Class) communities in Gujarat, India. Yuva Pragati has been in service of these youth since 2006.
We are a US based non-profit organization of dedicated professionals and volunteers who believe that education is the path forward for the development of rural India. Our focus is on the disadvantaged children of the rural boarding schools (Ashramshalas) in Gujarat, India.
Most of us belong to the community of immigrants with roots in Gujarat, India. We view our long-standing commitment to the education of the village children with deep fervor and passion. We visit the children regularly for the Youth Wellness Camps in India and we contribute financially to their advancement in various ways.
